SCOTLAND ENGAGEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER SURPRISE PROPOSAL IN GLENCOE Charissa and Dave   Glencoe is one of our favorite places to visit! You can find pretty much everything here if you are looking for a remote area with dramatic views. We really love to be surprised by the weather, which can so readily change the atmosphere, from shards of light glimpsing across the landscape to something quite dark and moody, but always beautiful - like happened this time! Charissa and Dave traveled from Singapore to spend a week seeing a little bit of Scotland. They were ready for anything. The plan was to spend some time just exploring Glencoe with them; so, we were especially excited when Dave asked us whether it would be ok to capture his surprise proposal in Glencoe to Charissa! He had originally planned it for another time during the trip, but as we were going to be there any way it was a great time to capture it all. A surprise marriage proposal is something unique and special, full of spontaneous emotions which is what we love capturing the most in our work. We already had a plan for how to make it unforgettable for them! We knew "the spot" in Glencoe for this special moment, a place that would have a dramatic backdrop teamed with cloud-covered mountains, which we were counting on! As it turned out we were so lucky, the weather couldn't have been better, creating a very evocative mood. After wandering through Glencoe's finest spots and bracing against the weather it was time to head to the spot. Our stunning location offered a perfect view of the Three Sisters—an ideal place to say "YES"! Surprise proposal, especially in dramatic Glencoe that day is something really special to witness - such a special moments! After the very emotional day, we all ended up in the nearby PUB we really like having a small pint of ale and chatting about life! We think this was truly one of the most exciting days we had in our photographic journey! The Scottish weather definitely helped and made this one very special for all four of us! We are super happy for Dave & Charissa to be now married and awaiting their little boy to come into this world soon!

Amelia and Christian, originally from Tennessee, USA, after they tied the knot they decided to move to Edinburgh, Scotland. Christian could finish his master’s degree, and Amelia works as a photographer ( you can find her work here ). They got married 2 years ago in Austria and recently decided to elope for their intimate vow renewal in the Scottish Highlands. Both are very inspiring, artistic souls with many talents. Earlier in their relationship, when Amelia and Christian were living thousands of miles apart, Christian composed a melody, Amelia wrote some words, and as a result, they created a very special song. Believe us, it’s very romantic. It was lovely to spend 2 days together having fun and a lot of inspiration from them. DAY ONE We met in an atmospheric apartment with old Scottish decor in Glasgow, where our first day started calmly. After coffee, a bit of singing, and a lot of laughing, Amelia and Christian took some time to themselves to write a letter and express their love and all they had learned over the past two years (and more playing around with pillows after all). We ended the day by all sitting together around the dinner table with a pint of beer, talking about our plans, experiences, and dreams. DAY TWO We woke up very early and very excited! After a quick breakfast, Amelia and Christian serenely prepared for their intimate ceremony in the Scottish Highlands. While Amelia finished her new vows, Christian played a few tunes on his ukulele. Having read Wendell Berry’s poem "The Wild Rose" to one another at their elopement vow renewal ceremony, it was very meaningful when they used the same words to promise their love to each other once again.
